About Me
I graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 1997 and received my Ph.D from Osaka City University in 2004. I started my career as a software engineer in a small startup. In 2007, I joined OMRON Corporation where I have spent 9 years in developing many computer vision technology for mobile applications. In 2016, I built my own company, tiwaki Co., Ltd.

I work on computer vision and machine learning problems. My research interests include saliency detection, object recognition, visual retrieval and so on. I serve as reviewer of many top tier journals and conferences include TPAMI, TIP, CVPR and ICCV, to name some of many.
I am maintainer of well-known saliency detection dataset DUT-OMRON and DUTS. I am also author of python implementation of Manifold Ranking Saliency algorithm.

I started new adventure in my career as an entrepreneur in 2016. Running a startup is never easy, but I enjoy taking challenge and learning something new.
